Elbowbumpkid Inc facilitated a discussion at Whole Foods in Glastonbury on celiac disease and T1D. Team members learned how they can impact and educate newly diagnosed celiac families and help them adapt to their new diet with the vast gluten free offerings sold by Whole Foods. Team members also learned why families with T1D may be reading carb counts or products in the store and why nutrition matters for families.

Whole Foods recently provided Elbowbumpkid Inc with a $2000 grant to support additional programs for families with T1D and Celiac Disease in 2024.​

Families attended a night of hockey at the Hartford Wolfpack game. Two attendees were selected for a ride on the zamboni.

37 T1D children and siblings enjoyed subsidized admission to the IT indoor adventure ropes course. While the children were swinging across the venue, parents were discussing best practices for managing T1D and creating new connections for support.

Families attended a Connecticut Sun basketball game at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

75 members of our T1D community were granted a wish day at Legoland NY thanks to a partnership with Merlin's Magic Wand Foundation who provided the families with tickets and parking. Elbowbumpkid Inc sponsored two snack breaks for the T1D children. Legoland New York also ensured each T1D child had Reserve Ride access so no child was sidelined by treating their diabetes.

Elbowbumpkid Inc sponsored groceries for families in CT / MA living with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that is common in people with T1D.​

Our first Fairfield County fun event for families. 18 attendees had fun bowing, playing arcade games and bonding with their local support network.

Elbowbumpkid and Gluten Free New England sponsored tickets for families living with celiac disease to attend an expo with samples and food for purchase.
